More advanced PERS is an automatic fall detection system. These devices have sensors that identify sudden movements or impacts like those caused by a fall. In case of a fall, the system triggers a notification to the central monitoring center, even if there is no ability to press the panic button. This is convenient, especially for seniors with dementia who may fall out or get injured and pass out without being able to call for help. This technology ensures alerting emergency responders in real time so that they can have proper assistance. With automatic fall detection, seniors and their families are assured that help will be on the way, even if the senior cannot physically respond.
